HOOLIGAN Theatre Company is a not-for-profit organization providing professional theatre experience for undergraduate students of all aspirations and backgrounds in order to excite, educate, and enrich the theatre community of UCLA and beyond.
As an entirely student-led organization and the largest theatre group outside of UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television, we take great pride in our role within the UCLA community. While they study everything from English to engineering, our members are deeply passionate about theatre. For over two decades, HOOLIGAN has offered a nurturing environment for undergraduates to explore the art of theatre -- whether they’ve been a theatre kid all their life or have never before stepped foot on stage.
We are committed to providing educational experiences in theatre. Every HOOLIGAN production offers students a chance to take a deep dive into any aspect of a theatrical production, ranging from performance and design to leadership and arts administration, while also becoming part of a lively and supportive artistic community. The heart of our season is the no-cut Winter Repertory, where any student can join the cast of our professional-caliber musicals. We believe that anybody can both contribute to and benefit from our productions.
