HOOLIGAN's Education Department
HOOLIGAN is first and foremost an educational theatre company. Our aim is to make theatre accessible to all UCLA undergraduates, and this is the specific mission of our Education Department! Along with our annual Showcase in Spring Quarter, Education hosts several workshops throughout the year on a variety of theatre skills.
HOOLIGAN's Workshops
HOOLIGAN’s Education Department offers a wide variety of free workshops on all of the wonderful parts of making theatre. Whether you're preparing for an audition or want to learn about a new aspect of the theatre world, these workshops are the place to be! In the past, HOOLIGAN has hosted workshops on the following topics:
- Vocal Health
- Hair & Makeup
- Shakespeare
- Basic Music Theory
- Lighting Design
- Directing
- and more!

In addition to these free workshops, the Education Department also hosts open-mic karaoke nights called Music and Chilligan to provide performance opportunities in front of a supportive, encouraging audience of HOOLIGANs. Everyone and anyone, regardless of experience, is invited to attend and perform.
