Spark Campaign

As exciting as it is to create art with the UCLA community, student theatre is very expensive to produce. Each show requires payment for a venue as well as budgets for lighting, sound, costumes, hair and makeup, props, and scenic pieces. As you can probably imagine, this totals up to a lot of money. While each member of the cast and crew works to fundraise by participating in events such as TV tapings or selling spaces in our show programs to local businesses, it is very difficult to fundraise enough money to share theatre which meets our maturing standards. Therefore, we occasionally run Spark campaigns through UCLA during which you can support student theatre and receive thank you gifts in return!

Here are some examples of how your Spark donations help us succeed:
  • $1 - papers to make props like letters or notes, thrifted costumes, a pack of bobby pins
  • $5 - thread for costumes, hats, props like fake flowers
  • $15 - a gallon of paint for scenic pieces
  • $25 - a new dress, all materials for a paper-mache tree
