Mika Vargas (they/she)
Co-Director of Human Resources 4th Year, Sociology and Gender Studies Major + Global Studies Minor [email protected] Favorite musical/play: Wicked Favorite memory: Choosing one is just too hard, so I'm gonna share a memory that isn't my favorite, but unforgettable to say the least. Tech week of Sweeney Todd was... well, quite a smelly situation. Not because of the production. Oh no no. The final product was so special, and I had a blast with everyone involved. The thing that made tech week oh so indelible was the FOOD POISONING that sent me to the hospital the day before the show. Let's just say it was stinky!!!! Luckily, I was able to perform due to the generosity of our Sweeney team. I'm grateful for everyone and their support! |

As someone who has never considered myself a dancer, being able to put my two left feet together to learn something new, daunting, and exciting is the peak of what HOOLIGAN represents to me -- an opportunity! Revealing the fact that I do, in fact, have legs was also super silly to me #singingdancingactingLEGS |

I was just feeling immense gratitude and happiness that I was able to work in such an amazing environment throughout the production process and to have been surrounded by and get to perform with such beautiful people that bring so much positive energy. It was truly magical because even with the stress of school and everyday life, it was one of those moments where I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be with the people I was supposed to be with, and I just felt so happy and excited. |
