Coming Up!
Our annual Showcase consists of a collection of individual songs, scenes, and dance numbers, each with their own director and small group of cast members. As an educational theatre company, HOOLIGAN encourages each participant to choose a performing skill they would like to work on (i.e. singing, dancing, acting) so that they can have the opportunity to strengthen these skills.

Past Off-Mainstage Shows...
Cabaret is an event put on by our Special Events department in which participants perform a collection of songs all with a common theme. The numbers can be performed in small groups or individually. This show is a great opportunity for HOOLIGANs to perform a song in front of their peers. This year's theme was miscast; singers will choose songs that they cast themselves to sing, regardless of who originally sang it. Videos of this year's performances will be available on our YouTube Channel soon!

Our annual One Acts Festival took place on November 4th in Kerckhoff Grand Salon this year. The festival featured a collection of short plays written, directed, and performed entirely by students. Presented by HOOLIGAN's Casting Department, One Acts gives students the opportunity to showcase their acting, writing, and directing talents.

24 Hour Musical is just that: a show produced in 24 hours! The show and cast list are announced in the evening and the cast and crew have 24 hours to rehearse before the show is performed the next evening. This year, Matilda: The Musical premiered on Sunday, February 19th at 8pm in Ackerman Grand Ballroom.
The 24 Hour Musical is a fundraiser for The Miracle Project and all proceeds from the show go to this organization. The Miracle Project provides fully inclusive theater, film, social skills, and expressive arts programs for speaking and non-speaking neurodiverse and/or disabled individuals. Through shared creative experiences with peers, The Miracle Project encourages individuals to develop social and job skills, enhance communication, increase self awareness, and confidence, ease anxiety and find joy in experience. I Want My Mummy!: HOOLIGAN's first ever digital puppet show premiered on February 27th, 2021 at 8 pm on Showtix.
Based on the one-act play, Baroness Frankenstein has opened her castle to monsters of the world who have difficulty fitting in with society. When her wealthy landlord and benefactor arrives, the wacky characters, including the Mummy, Phantom Bride, Medusa, Vampira, and the Invisible Man, dress up as servants and struggle to keep up the façade. This show was an exhibition of creative and technical brilliance and we thank everyone who was able to watch! |
