One Acts is a collection of short plays written, directed, and performed entirely by students. Presented by HOOLIGAN's Casting Department, One Acts gives students the opportunity to showcase their acting, writing, and directing talents and get involved with HOOLIGAN during Fall Quarter.
For our 16th Season, One Acts returned completely online!

Premiering Digitally Week 10 (Friday, Dec 11)
HOOLIGAN Theatre Company's annual Showcase is an educational workshop series designed to give students of all experience levels an opportunity to learn new skills and leadership roles within the performing arts, such as singing and dancing. Performers attend workshops such as tap dancing, reading sheet music, and performing improv, as well as work closely with their directors and castmates on their performance pieces. The program culminates in a cabaret to showcase what participants have learned throughout their workshop and rehearsal experiences. This program not only gives students a space to express themselves through a creative outlet, but it also gives students a chance to take risks in a fun and inclusive environment!
Showcase typically occurs during Spring quarter, but to adapt to digital learning, HOOLIGAN moved Showcase to Fall Quarter for our 16th Season.

Past Off-Mainstage Shows...
The 24 Hour Musical is just that: a show produced in 24 hours! The show and cast list are announced in the evening and the cast and crew will have 24 hours to rehearse before the show is performed the next evening.
The 24 Hour Musical is a fundraiser for the charity No Limits For Deaf Children and all proceeds from the show go to this organization. No Limits was founded in 1996 by Dr. Michelle Christie as a language-enriched theater program to help deaf and hard-of-hearing children improve communication skills, expand vocabulary and grammar, cultivate creativity, and develop public speaking skills. No Limits has produced over 100 productions to date, entertaining and educating over 200,000 people nationwide. Visit their website for more information about No Limits’ history and mission: https://www.nolimitsfordeafchildren.org |
Cabaret: A Night of Villains and Heroes was an exciting new opportunity to showcase all the talented members of this company while giving back to the company itself. Presented by the Special Events Department, the cabaret consisted of a lineup of musical acts, performed to live piano accompaniment, and all relating to the theme of “Villains and Heroes.” During intermission and before and after the show, we encouraged the audience to donate to HOOLIGAN through a number of fun activities and games.
