A very warm welcome to this year's cast of Spring Awakening! We want to thank everyone who came out to auditions and tech interviews. You all did an amazing job and we hope to see you again in our other shows this quarter!
Don’t worry, you won’t have to pray like Desdemona for another chance to partake in some HOOLIGAN fun! Our annual One Acts Festival is also taking place this quarter. Auditions take place this week on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th. This festival is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in theater to test the playing field with some amazing student-written works! Fall: Spring Awakening Winter: Guys and Dolls and 9 to 5 Spring: Peter and the Starcatcher A special note from our producers: HOOLIGAN Theatre Company’s 15th season is finally here and we are so thrilled to get started! Last year, our shows highlighted the theme of “Identity,” exploring the journey we all have in ourselves, as we struggle to discover who we are and what truly matters to us on the road to finding true happiness and self acceptance. This year our 2019-2020 season theme that all of our shows exemplify is, “Courage.” With each of our productions this year, we ask our performers, crew, and audience members to step out of their comfort zones. We want everyone to join us at our productions this year to celebrate the challenges of life, and the strength that comes with overcoming them. We are so excited for this season to start and we have so much in store! Keep an eye on our social media for updates on Welcome Week events and interview and audition information for our fall show - Spring Awakening! See you all very soon! Love, Olivia and Peyton We are wasting no time in starting this year's events - we will be putting together the creative team for Spring Awakening in the upcoming months, so stay tuned for that. We will also be holding auditions and tech interviews soon after so be sure to keep a look out on our social media to stay in the loop!
As always, there is more than one way to get involved with us this quarter: we are also accepting submissions for our annual One Acts Festival, an evening of entirely student written one act plays! The festival will take place in Kerckhoff Grand Salon on November 23rd and 24th. Budding playwrights, please send in your work to emma.lauterbach@hooligantheatre.org before October 4th, Friday of the first week of Fall Quarter. Keep in mind that all written works should have a runtime of no more than 15 minutes. Don't forget to fill out this submission form before you send out that email! We hope you are excited for the upcoming season, because we are certainly very excited to share it with all of you. See you all soon - be it backstage, onstage or cheering in the audience! Tired of chasing the squirrels around campus? Then follow us down the rabbit hole next weekend when we present Alice in Wonderland at the Fowler Museum Courtyard! Our cast and crew have been hard at work rehearsing and preparing for the show, so you won't want to miss this tea party! The show will run from May 30th to June 2nd. You can let us know that you're coming by RSVP'ing on our Facebook event page! Check out the show's Behind the Scenes video above to get a sneak peek at the process.
Keep your calendars out, because your adventure in Wonderland isn't the only thing left for HOOLIGAN this year! Our annual Showcase, produced by HOOLIGAN's Education Department, will be performed on Friday, June 7 at the Northwest Campus Auditorium. Stay tuned to our social media for more information! Thats a wrap on our Winter Rep shows! Huge congratulations to everyone involved in both Fame and Catch Me If You Can. Both shows were immense successes and we would like to thank not only the casts and crews of both shows but the audiences as well. You all helped make the run of each performance so magical and we could not thank you enough for your support!
As sad as we are to say goodbye to our last musicals of the 2018-2019 year, we are far from finished with our shows for the season. We were overwhelmed with joy by the number of people who auditioned for our Spring productions and would like to thank each and everyone of you! Unfortunately, auditions for Alice in Wonderland and Showcase are now closed, however, be sure to keep an eye out for more information about both shows later in the quarter! Prepare for an epic trip down the rabbit hole this quarter as we assemble the best tea party of the century! |
